For more than 20 years, EmTroniX has been designing and producing advanced electronics and embedded software for New Space applications. Seven fields of in-house expertise give us an extended technical knowledge in electronics, embedded software, digital signal processing and telecommunication systems design. Recently, EmTroniX decided to focus on the development and commercialisation of its new products portfolio. This role of System Engineer will directly contribute to this purpose with a technical involvement in all aspects of mission and product design, from requirement management to integration and verification. EmTroniX is an energetic, human-sized and innovative engineering company with more than 30 international employees.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform tests of electronic functions at board level.
- Perform tests of device at system level, containing one or multiple boards.
- Elaborate test plan and test procedure, describing the work that will be performed.
- Perform the testing and create test report based of previously elaborated test procedure.
- Implement/modify PCB according to manufacturing order and create manufacturing orders if needed.
- Test automation: execution and test reports.
- Define software requirements for electronic hardware testing and validation.
- Implement test script in Python
- Develop technical and official documentation, including contribution and review of test procedures / prepare test reports.
- Ensuring tests can take place properly (environment setup, availability of consumables in collaboration with Procurement).
- Lab equipment tracking, calibration in collaboration with Quality Assurance and availability.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Schematic capture and PCB layout: Experience in schematic capture and PCB layout, preferably using Altium.
- RF and FPGA design: Knowledge and experience in RF and/or FPGAs.
- Circuit calculation and simulation: Proficiency in circuit calculation and simulation, particularly using LT Spice.
- Software proficiency: Familiarity with Office 365 tools, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and MS Project.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Extensive experience in electronics testing, encompassing boards, processors, analog circuit, high-speed memories, and microcontrollers
- Knowledge of and competence in using general laboratory test equipment
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python
- Strong analytical skills and a proven ability to solve complex problems.
- Fluent in English – French or German are strong assets
- Over 5 years relevant experience
